OneNote allows to capture thoughts, ideas and to-do's. Your stuff travels with you on your computers, tablets and phones. Share your notebooks with others for viewing or editing. Integrates with Outlook for task management and meeting notes.
BookStack and OneNote are both knowledge management tools for personal and professional use that allow to create a hierarchical structuring of notes. They support multimedia content, such as text, images and links, offer cloud sync across devices and provide collaboration features for teams to work on shared notes.

But BookStack (launched in 2015) is UK-based open-source wiki software primarily designed for documentation management in companies. It's self-hosted and supports role-based access control for secure collaboration. It's structured around sections "Books", "Chapters" and "Pages" for organizing large document libraries.

OneNote (2003) is Microsoft's note-taking app aimed at professionals and business users. It's a part of the Office suite and integrates seamlessly with other Microsoft 365 apps. Besides OneNote is known for handwriting and drawing features on touch screens. It's free but offers premium features via Microsoft 365 subscriptions.
