Gmail is an email service provided by Google. Users may access Gmail as secure webmail, as well via POP3 or IMAP protocols. Gmail's spam filtering features a community-driven system: when any user marks an email as spam, this provides information to help the system identify similar future messages for all Gmail users. Google also provides GMail alternative for business - Google Workspace.

Gmail and Superhuman are both email apps and services that are focused on minimizing the time you spend working with email. They provide a web interface and mobile applications, support standard IMAP/SMTP protocols, have functions for searching by emails and attachments, archiving and working with tags/folders, offer hot keys to speed up work, integrate with other services (calendar, task managers, etc.).
But Gmail (launched in 2004) is a free Google service (there is also a paid version for business as part of Google Workspace). It features a large free cloud storage (up to 15 GB), a powerful spam filtering algorithm and automatic sorting of emails based on AI. There is offline support via browser extension (or a mobile application)
Superhuman (2014) is a paid service ($30/month). It focuses on speed, advanced customization of hot keys and commands, additional conveniences (for example, the "snooze" function, reminders and tracking of email openings). It is positioned as a premium tool for "power users" who want to increase their productivity.
