Important news about Construction Management software

2021. Bridgit secures $24M to provide construction companies with workforce intelligence

Bridgit, a “workforce intelligence” technology company that is focused on the construction industry, has raised $19.4M in Series B funding. Built for construction workforce planning, cloud-based Bench has become Bridgit’s flagship offering. This is not shocking considering the widespread labor shortage the industry has been experiencing. Bench aims to help general contractors plan and grow their workforce, leverage project data to improve bidding and staffing decisions and forecast project pipelines. The end result, Bridgit claims, is increased productivity and profitability.

2021. CostCertified lands $8.45M to build the Amazon for construction

CostCertified, a Canadian startup which provides real-time, interactive residential construction estimates, raised $8.45 million in a seed round of funding. Put simply, CostCertified today is a price configurator tool for construction, but the company’s end goal is to build the “Amazon for construction.” CostCertified allows contractors to send a shoppable interactive estimate to homeowners so that they can choose their selections during a project, and see the effect on price instantly. If you’ve ever performed a home remodeling project, you understand that this is something that would be incredibly useful considering all the various decisions required around vendors and products. Being able to see your options and how specific choices will impact your end cost in one place can certainly help make the project less stressful.

2021. Construction management platform Remato raises $1.7M

Small and medium-sized construction businesses in Europe and the U.S. tend not to be run on digital platforms. Publicly listed Procore is the go-to platform for large general contractors, but newer startups are going for this SMB construction market such as SiteMax, Sitemate, FieldLens and Fieldwire. Now, the Remato construction management platform is joining them with a $1.7 million seed investment round. Remato allows field contractors to plan and manage budgets, labor, materials and equipment in one app. The company says it is growing steadily at 10%-15% MoM with a mobile-first user experience and now has 1,700 daily active users.
